Indonesian stocks finished higher following a mixed session on Tuesday as traders were searching for direction with third quarter earnings continue rolling out.Jakarta composite index added 15.754 points (+0.251%) to 6,281.138 while LQ45 slipped rose 0.43% to 997.85. There were 21.674 billion shares traded worth of Rp10.01 trillion, including transaction of Rp2.08 trillion in negotiation market. Foreign investors sold a net Rp375.19 billion in regular market. 204 shares rose, while 233 declined, 172 unchanged, and 146 untraded.

According to JISDOR, rupiah slipped 5 points (-0.04%) at 14,028 while Spot rate unchanged at 14,020 against the USD.

Asian shares were mixed while Europeans traded lower on Tuesday with investors continue to monitor development on the trade negotiations and look ahead for the Fed’s monetary decisions later in the week.

On the trade front, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said Monday that Washington is examining whether to extend tariff exclusions on $34 billion worth of Chinese imports.

Back in Europe, the British government will try again with a new route for a Dec. 12 election in a vote on Tuesday following EU’s three-month extension to the Brexit deadline.

Oil prices slipped with Brent declined 35 cents (-0.57%) at $61.22 barrel while U.S. West Texas Intermediate fell 43 cents (-0.77%) at $55.38 a barrel.
